Does anyone have pics of there car with a aftermarket sunroof in it. Im trying to figure out if I should get one or not.

I've been considering it as well, until i was quoted around $700 at each place i went to. I know you can get one of those pop-up or removable sunroofs for around $200 or so, but I think that wouldn't look the greatest.

I got one at the junkyard for 20 bucks, once you get over cutting a hole in your roof the rest is easy!!!OMG

seem to be getting a lot of interest in a sunroof for 20 bucks....

so,
Go to a junkyard and find any car with an aftermarket sunroof. You can tell these as they sit a bit higher on the roof. Things to look for: a good rubber seal, good latch with some levels of opening. Remove the headliner and remove all the screws that hold it to the roof, Usually there is a top part and a bottom part that tightens the two together. Remove all the filler strips that hold the headliner and wrap around. Then just pull the roof out. Usually there is a bit of silicone holding it in but it should come out pretty easy.

Once the roof is out, take a large piece of cardboard or paper (I brought some with me) and trace the hole in the roof. This will be your new template.

On your car, measure and center where you want the roof to be. Take off the headliner and look for any braces or anything that you might want to avoid. Trace the template with a grease pencil or marker. You can use a jigsaw with a metal blade or a cutting wheel. I used both. Drill a small hole near the middle and work out but do not cut the corners. Go all around cutting the straight areas and leaving the roof attached by the 4 corners. When cutting the corners its best to have a buddy so that it doesn't bend the roof when it comes out.

The install the same as you took it out and use silicone to seal to roof. Then place the headliner back in and trace the outline. Cut out the hole leaving some room to fold the edges over and then use the trim strips to tighten it all up,

That should do it
