I have a 1g NT eclise with 16inch rims. I really want to lower it but am somewhat clueless in this area. So could someone point me in the right direction. Thanks:confused: :dsm:

lowering is based upon preference, but i would reccomend starting out with some basic lowering springs first. A 1.0 to a 1.5 inch drop is what most people prefer. I have sprint lowering springs and they ride smooth yet still give me the drop that looks nice on my 18" rims. PM me, i may be able to help you out in purchasing some lowering springs if you are interested. =)

agreed with LunarEclips, 1.0-1.5 looks good with no matter wich size wheels and doesnt look overdone. dont go too low though otherwize you will blow out your struts

Thanks ill remember that when look for some springs, anybody know a good brand to go with?

If you want cheaper springs go with Sprint or Intrax. If you want good quality, go with Eibach or H&R. Ultimately how the car handles and responds to these additions depends on the condition of your struts / shocks.

Start with shocks if you are not going to be getting everything all together, not springs or coil overs first. IF you get the springs or coilovers first then you will blow your stock shocks and thats like riding on an old wooden rollercoaster. If you are on somewhat of a budget then you can go used ( classifieds ) if you must have new, I know the 1g have had success with AGX's. Also H&R makes an OE sport spring with the drop you looking for along wiht the eibach pro-kit as well. Check to see if they have those springs for your application. That would make a comfortable DD. GoodLuck.

Yeah. RTFM, newbie. ;)

Ebay is full of lowering mods for 1G. Find some shocks/struts and then get some decent lowering springs:thumb: Just make sure the seller has good feedback:D
