Whats wrong w/ my side skirt(fender cap) HELP!

Ok so i just bought this car a few months ago(97 gsx) and the fitment of my right side side skirt is really starting to annoy me. The long piece under the door and the fender cap DO NOT GO TOGETHER AT ALL!

The left side doesnt really sit flush either but i can fix that. My guess is that the fender cap is off a different model eclipse or a totally different car, i dont know. Anyway, if anyone can help me out with this that would be great. THANKS

It seems that you have the 2ga (95-96) Eclipse side skirts, however you still retain the 2gb (97-99) fender caps. Perhaps it fell off on the previous owner, and he order the wrong year.

Yep, looks that way. The 2gb side skirts kinda stick out at more of a point than the 2ga model.

No, Talon side skirts look like they wrap around towards the middle. Take a look in the gallery.

You could either just get one 2ga Eclipse Fendercap(cheapest) or get a set of 2gb sideskirts and one 2gb fendercap. Up to you.

You can search why DSM arnt imports....

uh take a closer look i can swear the side skirts to the twirl in the middle..unless im blind..i still say there talon..i think the color of his car might throw you off a little

As posted above you have 2ga skirts and 2gb fender caps. The Talon skirts look completely different. Here are pics of all 3. The blue talon is 98TsiAWD, the blue eclipse is Tsigoespsssst, and the red car is mine.

Yes, but the problem is that they don´t want ship outside of the USA and i cannot search for the junkyard, because i live in Spain... that´s the great problem

Is your car an RS? The base model didn't have skirts at all. If you buy a set you will have to drill holes for the mounting tabs or use a lot of tape.

Are there no junkyards in spain which have the car? I figure that there must be more than just yours around you. Or just order something aftermarket that looks OEM from VIS or NIN something like that. Most companies will ship worldwide so you could always go that route.

I hunted over 18 junk yards across the US for side skirt pieces and no luck. Parts cars get raped for side skirts, so your best bet is to order them from Mitsubishi (like i had to)

Order the 95 or 96 Eclipse "Air-dam skirt" and explain to them it's the "L" piece of the side skirt so they don't get confused!
