Car slid and rubbed on a concrete barrier on the expressway. I have attached an image. I am hoping someone can help me. Can this be fixed without repainting the entire bumper? Even if it means just covering it up. The rates for repainting a red bumper here in NY is sky high. Everyone complains how expensive red paint is.The area is the size of a hand, and what u can't see in the picture, is the are some more scratch mark on top of the big area. Its really light, looks as if it just took off the clear. I am no expert though. I will try and get a more close up picture.

If the cover cracked then a patch and repaint is the only 'fix it' option. If the area is scratched it might be spot painted over with the right automotive touch-up paint. You'll need the paint number from the ID plate on the firewall. While sanding, painting and then clear coating the affected the area will 'cover' the area it will be noticeble that it was repaired. That's probably the best amature repair I could suggest.
