This all started out as a venture, i originally had my stock gsx rims powdercoated that i just felt didnt fit on the car before (see first pic). I started browsing for a new set of shoes and came across these on a car that was for sale on autotrader.
I loved the style, so i sent him an email asking if he'd part with them, and he said "Sure, they're 17's and have pretty worn nitto Neogens, but they're in good shape, 450 come get them". So i venture 2.5 hours to detroit to look at them, and low and behold they are 18's w/ brand new nitto neogens w/ the anti camber wear! so i swoop them up for 450 and he threw in gorilla lugs and the key :D

The only problem on them is that they have curbing on the sticker area, so three of them say "OL| " instead of VOLK :D and "R/ YS ENG" instead of Rays engineering, i contacted volk about getting replacement stickers but i might just shave off the rest of the stickers and powdercoat since i don't really care for the decals on the rims anyways

let me know what you think :D

any close ups of the rims? are you sure they are volks and just not some knockoffs? $450 for some 18" TE37s and brand new tires seems farfetched, but your car looks very nice by the way.

well the guy didnt really care i dont think, and neither do i really, i totally agree with you but all i know is the rims are in nice condition and the nitto'sare at about 90-95% tread ( i worked at discount tire last year)

thanks, and also, ill take pics of the inside metal sticker of the rims for you guys. sorry for the bad quality, they were on my camera phone

^^ i have that car picture saved on my computer, i love what youve done with it! i just ordered a lip like that as well :D

I love seeing Dsm's with nice wheels!!!! Most of the time we are too busying buying other crap for our cars to either make them faster or actually run to have money for things like nice wheels!!! hehe Looks good bro!

thanks for the comments guys! i swore i would never rock plain silver wheels but they are plain silver all the way around, the lighting may make them look dark but they're just a satin silver finish

and the before pics were taken with my digital rebel, takes nice pics but i still am learning how to use it

Lucky, I wanted those but I was short on funds, so I painted my stockers. haha The wheels look awesome!

The Volk TE37's only come in bronze and white. Though you can get a custom color for extra $$$. In 2004 the only colors for the LE37 were I believe 'greyish silver' and gunmetal all came with a polished lip. In 2005 the Volk LE37 got a new color added to the chart; gloss black with a polished lip. Remeber the LE37's and LE28's are pretty much limited edition, so they are rarer and cost about $100 more a wheel then the regular TE37.
Somewhere along the line gold was added as a choice for the LE line. And I believe it's a '2005' color only for the LE28n's.
The wheel, if it's real should have a sticker inside of it telling you the date it was made and every other detail. The wheel itself should say FORGED around the lip area in-between the spokes.
The width of the spokes should be about .5" or less.
See how the real deal looks. All that raised lettering.

The only problem on them is that they have curbing on the sticker area, so three of them say "OL| " instead of VOLK and "R/ YS ENG" instead of Rays engineering,
That's what the fakes come with. Stickers that look the same but they are spelled differently. I'd say you have 100% fake wheels. It just all doesn't seem to come together.

thanks flash! like i said i didnt mind if they were real or not, but the stickers look just like the above^ just rubbed off, you can see the curbing on the spokes in the pictures. They have that lettering all around the inside of the lip but the clear coat is peeling as well, i think im going to powdercoat the rims bronze. and they are just as you described, greyish silver. whats the difference between TE37's and LE37's? if ya want ill take a picture of the metal "sticker" thing on the inside of the rim it shoud show you theyre real.

also the lip IS polished its just chipping really bad, the clear coat is failling all over the wheels, and the actuall spokes as well as parts of the lips are curbed,

but i figured for 450 for 18's with new tires i didnt care if they were fake or not im just happy with the rims!

thanks!

sorry to bring up an old thread, but i was wondering what was the tire size and offset of the VOLKS? and what suspension are you on?

This 6 year old thread just motivated me to get my tires installed on my Volks and get them on my GST :D

Those rims look awesome on an Eclipse. Seen the volks a lot in the Supra world, but not really on other models.

Man I used to have TE-37's on my prelude! Lightest rims ever!!!
