Headlight bulb install

i know this sounds like a cheesy question, but I just bought new bulbs, and cant figure out how to install them. What is the proper way of doing it? Thanks.

The grey caps behind the headlights unscrew. Then there is a retaining wire/clip that needs to undone. It's similar to a safety pin clasp if you're familiar with those. Then the bulb pulls out. It only lines up one way due to the lugs around the base. So you may have to twist it around some to get it back in. That's it.

do u have to apply a lot of force? I took the bracket piece off and then tried pulling the bulb out but it wont budge haha.. I dont wanna break the thing.

It's explained rather clearly in your Owner's Manual (get one off eBay. Don't fret the year, just 1G or 2G. Make doesn't matter, either).

You may find it easier to unlatch the spring clip instead of trying to get the molecules to mingle past one another, despite what David Blaine claims he can do.

Also, make sure your fingers do not touch the glass on the bulb. Wear gloves if you have to. The oils on your skin could potentially cause the bulb to prematurely fail.

By that he means the finger print you leave becomes a hotspot and your bulb can explode, this happened to me once.

i purchased a pair of eurodezigns 9006 xenon blue headlight bulbs, but im not sure how to install them. I took out the grey cap that you twist and turn, and now i see the bulb locked in, im not sure how to unlock it, there is some type of silver paperclip it looks like thats keeping it locked and i move it and push it and i cant seem to be able to take it off. Does anyone know how to take it off and install the bulb? i tried using a search but cant seem to find anything.

The "Paperclip" is in a groove that holds it in place, just push it down and out and then you can remove the bulb.

hmm ima try that tomorrow, when i try pushin it and twisting it, it real stiff so hopefully it will work, also i dont have to take out the headlight or anything right?

No, you don't have to take off the headlight (that's a huge pain in the butt). Just take a close look at that pin. Basically you push down, move to the side a little, and it'll pop out. If you force it, you'll break it. Look closely, you should be able to figure out how it's in there. If you still cant, I can take pictures of mine closeup and draw arrows how to do it.

Don't bother until you buy a set of Silver*Stars. Yes, those paper clips hook under the metal you should be able to see there.

Those other pieces of crap will make good airgun targets, though.

thanks for the help guys i was able to put in my new bulbs, there supposedly bright blue, but seem bright white to me. oh well, still are nice

oh also when i installed the left bulb, i scratched the tip of the bulb, not exactly the bulb but the metalish tip, will it damage it or what? it works, but i dont know if i damaged it or not.
