new bmw interior light.... question

ok so i was in my friends new 06 beamer and they come with this hot soft light... its orange, it was in the headliner by the rear view mirror... they don't shine bright but they shine very nice... i love them... i am going to get them off the bmw parts store... now when i install them i want to know if i would need some kind of resitors or anything? or can i just wire them to my head lights?

I'd be curious how badly BMW want to bang you for a dome light.

well...i'm not postive but i would think you could be able to tap into the existing dome lights that are in the rear view mirror and use that as a power source. or maybe tap into the cig. lighter
