I'm about to start work on my dashboard, dunno what I'm gonna do exactly, yet, but I really need to know is how much of the shape is in the foam under the vinyl. If alot of it is, then I have to rethink the whole thing..but if the shape is in the underlying plastic, then I think it'll be ok... :thumb: :talon:

the vinyl/foam sheet that covers your dash is not very thick at all. the shape of the dash is still mostly there with it removed.

The rubber and foam are no more then 1/4" thick on the dashboard and the actual dashboard under that stuff looks almost exactly like the cover.

I helped my friend fiberglass in some extra gauge pods and skin his dash in carbonfiber. It was a bit of a bi*** getting the CF mat to streach into some of the lower spots but in the end it looks good.
