97 - 99 Body Parts

I have a question and need some advice at finding 1997 - 1999 body parts. I have a talon and am converting it to an eclipse but I can't find anywhere a rear bumper or the stock side skirts. I've searched the internet, called countless salvage yards, and browsed every classified ad on this website. I've found a rear bumper but for an outrageous amount ($350 dollars from a salvage yard) if anyone has an advice that could point me in a better direction to look it'd be much appreciated.

Keep searching would be my best advise. Once and a while you'll see a car being parted or someone putting on a body kit. I just came across 97 talon conversion that had everything for $320. Almost everything was already the same color except the front bumper.

When it comes to bumpers there harder to find because nobody want to ship something that big.

There are also places that sell bumpers that are like OEM, but withought the symbols..

I say just keep looking around.

dude.....EBAY.....u can find sideskirts there all the time. They are kinda pricey since a lot of people want them, but they are there. As for the bumper, well EBAY has em too. They are more rare than the front bumpers but everyonce in awhile youll catch one on there.

Heh, when I was in your situation for side skirts, I waited about 9 months to get ahold of one. I didn't mind waiting for it mainly because I didn't have a working car to put it on.

When trader was around, I found them more easily.

Ya I would say just keep searching. Also look around town for someone who was aftermarket parts on. I found a rich kid at school who put an aftermarket bodykit on and bought from him for $50 a 97 Eclipse: rear bumper, front bumper, side skirts, low spoiler, foglights(no bezel), both fenders, plus a few little things. He was gonna give that all to me for free but I couldn't do that so I offered $50. So I say just keep looking and good luck.

I was looking to do the same thing, converting my talon into an elcipse. Theres a website one of my buddy's told me about, I believe its www.car-parts.com. They give you a complete inventory of companies in the State and Canada. Hopefully you find something their.

I always use car-parts.com because you will get various shops to choose from in your area and you will get several prices as well according to their condition.

i have a 95 eclipse but got a 97 front and rear bumper for 50 bucks at a shop that does custom work, i called around and asked if they had any eclipse air dams that they had left over from a project car they did or something like that....hope that helps any

I have a driver side sideskirt you can have for $30+shipping. Just needs to be sanded and painted.

you can get my front bumper if you want for like 20 or 25 bucks..not to much cause its taking up room and the shipping will be a little bit to....its a white 95 bumper and if u want the back bumper to...let me know...well work something out

that would be great! and as far as the scraping goes, thats not a problem at all. the roads around here suck, so the bottom is going to be scraped up anyway.

u have to change the front lights if your going to a 97 from 95....the headlights are different...

I have 95 stock side skirts that I took off because I think theyre ugly. If you want u can make me a price an ill sell em to you. It really doesnt have to be that much at all, since theyre just sitn.
