Carbon Fiber Hood Care

Hey Everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone could comment on the proper way to take care of a carbon fiber hood. I mean, sure initially it looks good but I assume that the elements [sun, rain, dust] can take away from its looks pretty quickly.

Long story short, do I need to wax the thing .. it will the harm the existing finish?

For reference it is a VIS hood. Thanks.

Ps. I used the search function with no luck .. I hope I didn't screw up and pass the answer while looking.

no, you can wax it, just make shure youuse a nice wax, its nice after that

Cool, just wanted to make sure ... figured maybe someone had some car car secret they weren't guarding too closely.

Yes, just wash and wax it regularly. Be careful, if not taken care of the clearcoat will become very unsightly.

Hey post pics of your CF hood.! how is that turbo working for ya man?

scratch and swirl remover works wonders on a CF hood far better then WAX imo..
