Best place to mount S-afc 2

I've got a vent piece, replaces the top vent with the AFC and one gauge (perfect for an AFR gauge).

Pros: can see/reach easily, install was a snap, no pun intended

Cons: others can see/reach easily, be it annoying passengers, small children or thieves

Sorry no pics, I need to get my act together.

Mine is a 2G, but that doesn't matter because you can do the same.

I didn't buy that piece, I made it. There used to be AC vents there and some more switches. I cut them all out and fiberglassed the whole thing solid. Then I cut out the areas for things to go and mounted them from the back-side.

It was free and fairly easy.

I bought it, don't recall from who, I'll look around, but you could just as easily make it. Catbox has it just like I'm saying, perfect fit with the AFR, love it! Nice work.

I personally like it mounted right above the center console, sort of top right from the steering wheel. Makes it more of a race-car feel cockpit.

did it in paint actually, do a better one if you can..........i gotta dream...

I have mine parked right above where the center vent used to be. I like this spot alot. It does not take away from driver visibility and sun does not hit the face of it.

I have mine in my glovebox so it wont attract attention and 2 b/c it's not needed 90% of the time. Just tuck in on the left side pocket part and pull it out when I need to tune. What's the point of leaving it out? - it doesn't monitor anything useful. I guess it does make your cockpit cool with more lights and gadgets - if you're into that.

I came up with this location in my 98 GSX back in 2002 with the help of a good friend of mine. No one at the time had this location and it was the perfect spot to put it. It was in easy view and no one from the outside of the car could tell it was there. Since then, about 5 of my close friends have copied my idea and have done the same in their 2Gs.
