2G-B: has any one ever filled in the foglight holes with bondo and painted?

For 1, using bondo for such a big hole is stupid...and 2, it wouldn't hold for crap on a 2gb front because it's urethane... I plan on trying it using a professional grade urethane repair epoxy(which is like $70 for one tube...but it's created mostly for tab repair on front valances/bumper covers, but should be more than good enough for shaving the lights) if I can ever find someone willing to let me experiment, or a 2gb front for a decent price.

Greyforest just filled in his foglight holders I think this guy is talking about making it perfectly smooth and not having inserts. personally I like the inserts because it is reversable

that looks reallt nice dsmmyth, i would have filled the circle/perimeters too though.......I want it smooth completely.

sorry about the bondo comment btw. I knew you wouldn't use bondo but i didn't know the correct material to reference.

Thanks for the pics,
defno

yes thats how i would have done it but forest's car looks damn good the way it is. I know I will never be have a need for those lights cause my front mount but to be able to reverse them would be cool.

I don't know now, I like the look alot though. Cool pics.

i woulnt bondo it in there, if anything, get the inserts or leave it. i have had bad luck with bondo in the past, and in situations like these, save yourself some time and go with the inserts.. :thumb:

You could easily do it with fiberglass and then bondo to smooth it out, how well will it hold? Only time knows.

No 'glass either. Use proper urathance fix-t it epoxy and urathane sections.

yes.

i did the ones pictured above with fiberglass, but i'll have to redo them with my urethane bumper repair epoxy. same stuff used to fill in the emblem gap on my bumper - adheres to urethane and flexes with it as well. fiberglass doesnt!
