i just recieved my strut bar from Villan racing by Konig and I ordered the red one. Well it isnt red at all. it is like a light pink color. Anyone have any ideas for painting it. do i need to sand or primer it or should i just paint it.

Thanks,

This will get moved to appearance, where you will have a better chance of getting answers.

I would suggest going over it with light grit sand paper (nothing too rough) just get the glossy part of the paint off. Then spray a coat of primer on it, spray on your color, then clear if you want it to be really shiny. Good luck.

Look at the Valve Cover FAQ and do the exact same for your strut bar, If yours was likke mine there was a place where it was scratched into and I didnt sand it all the way down and within 2 hours of the heat it erased the paint at the scratch ruining it. All my friends thought it was hawt as shit. I just took a sander to it cuz im changing everything over to a glossy black, should have taken some pics of it.
