alright i read the posts on this, there is alot of talk of how the spyder cant fit good 6x9's, but no talk of what ppl are actually using...so what DO you guys who have replaced the stock system use? and by that, it excluses sub boxes wit say 10's or 12's. im just asking what you used to replace the stock 6x9's....thanx!

the blue coned alpine 2 ways fit fine...

take one out and with a tape measure find out what depth you have available... then when you go shopping you can look on the speaker dimensions on the box and see if it will fit.

thanx for the tip! ill be doing that. any other spyder owners have any tips/info to give me on what you guys are using?

I am also interested in this, I have read many threads about it, but no one says what they are using

I did...

and on a JBL GTO 755.6 which is WAY biggerthan the alpines are rated for, but I have tehm for fill and a bit of midbass so they are fine, on deck power they sucked.

I have Boston Acoustic 2-way 6x9s and before that Sony 2way 6x9s and never had a problem fitting them in the stock location but it would all depend on the magnet size.
