I bought my GS-T used a year ago and it came with the Blaupunkt RPD-435 head unit, anyone have any experience with them ?

I was thinking of swaping it with a Sony/Alpine/Kenwood either or.

Is it a good unit ? should I keep it ?

Blau's are very durable very clean units...
they are not beautiful, and don't pack a bazillion features but they do last forever...

I'dtake one over a sony/kenwood anyday...

Alpine... well If you are willing to drop $400 or more they have some great headunits, less it probably is not worth it

The power of the Blau is nice, its not the most attractive or anything, but with the right set of speakers it sounds like its better than average. :thumb:

Go Alpine. Yes, they are more expensive, but for a good reason. Alpines have the best sound processors you can get short of going for a really really expensive (eclipse, boston, mb quart). If you dont want to spend as much money, then get a cheaper Alpine. There is little difference between the low and high end models for daily use. But shop around, some places will rip you off because of the Alpine name.
