I am the luckiest 16 year old ever (ok, maybe not THE luckiest put pretty damn close)

I am 16 and I work at wal*mart pushing carts for 8.54 an hour, so Im a little short on cash since I only work on weekends. anyways, last week we got a new guy who also works at a body shop and he needed a 2nd job so he could get more money since he has a kid on the way. And he has an 1997 Accord coupe that is clean. So we get started talking about cars... and he says that he could hook me up if I ever wanted to get my car painted. And i said yea I wanna get my car painted black... He tells me 600 dollars ... and then I ask how much for doorjams and hatch? he replies "thats all included but you'll only get this price under one condition" so of coure I ask what the condition is he says "you have to help me during the whole process prep, paint, and everything" so I tell him ok now I have to save up 600 dollars which really isnt that hard even for me.

Thats a pretty good offer. Heres the thing: BLACK IS HARD TO CLEAN AND KEEP CLEAN!!! Mines black and i live on a dirt road. (aint no hillbilly!) But yea u get major swirls and under the sun ull think it looks dirty and faded. Bugged the crap outta me. Wax it alot, and ull have a super clean, head turnin DSM. Heed my warning.... Youll be embarrased when u get those muddy rain spots all over it. Oh and when u wash it, ALWAYS DRY IT OFF IMMEDIATLY as to prevent water spots. Oh and Im only 17 and i know how hard money is to come by dude. keep savin!! lata.

Speed Racer 97 sounds like you will get a good deal. Glad for you. Black isn't that hard to take car of if you are good with automotive appearance to begin with. I wouldn't suggest going through gas station car washes or cheap car washes because they will swirl the heck out of nice black cars. When you wash it always go in back and forth strokes. Never wash in circles this causes swirls too. Keep up the good attitude and post pictures when the car is all painted.

Thats great man and you are lucky. One of these days I want to repaint my car either the same color or a dark grey like the factory color. Just to get rid of all those dings and one long ley scratch on the passenger side (was there when I got the car).

Dude, you get paid $8.54 an hour pushing carts?! At the H-E-B I work at, the carry-outs only get paid $5.65. Man I feel sorry for them

thats not bad
but i am gettin my car re-painted, and the dent on the back fender pulled out, as well as any other lil dings taken out, all for $500 including the paint.
