LED info

When talking about LEDs what does the "MCD" rating mean and what does the voltage of an LED mean? And is there a relationship between the MCD and voltage of an LED. Any help would be appreciated... links to pages w/ info or just straight out info

MCD is the brightness
voltage is...the voltage it can run at. they can also run any voltage below the max voltage

if it runs at a lower voltage than its max then will that affect the brightness?
