Ok...So some friends of mine don't believe me that there was actually DSM's made with Blue interior. I've read on here that the Early Early 95's Came with Blue...But it didn't last that long. I tried searching But found nothing. Can someone lead me in the right direction so I can tell them I told you so. Thanks. I know i'm not crazy

Actually, it is blue. I have one 95 which was made in 94. I will post a pic when I get batteries for the cam and also post one of my friends 95 with grey interior. Even mine looks grey at a quick glance, but when you comapre it to an actual grey interior there is a huge difference in color.

Stay tuned ;)

I wasn't sure how the pics would turn out so I also stuck a gray/silver jackstand in one to hopefully prove how far from grey this interior actually is.

Reminds me of the old Nissan 240sx interiors, retro but not a big fan :notgood: now the seats on the other hand :thumb: mmmm I likem

Well the only time I have ever seen something like that is when I was at a dealership. WE had a guy that came in named Gary that tinted windows for us, well Gary was a professional interior dyer. We had a GSX that just wouldnt sell, until a guy came in one day and wanted it almost, but it has tan leather.

We mentioned it to Gary as a joke, he came over and 2 hours later, I went out there and I have seen alot in my 10 plus years of being around DSMs but I have never seen anyone take a tan interior and dye it black. I looked at it for an hour trying to find one spot where I could tell that it used to be tan. Not a chance. I took a flash light to it, to see if I could see it bleed through anywhere. I had never seen anything before like it. the interior was totally black he even dyed the carpet. I would swear he took the entire interior out and swapped it.

I would almost go as far as saying that may have been one of Garys creations. I know of a few other cars that he did with wild interiors. I saw a white 2G with Green leather that he did. It was awesome looking. Im talking about a dark green almost black leather it was something else. Ive seen some exotics with interior like that. Its spendy

now that you mention that...if you look at the ashtray, it looks as if the blue is wearing off. don't know.

jim

My grey interior is doing that NOW so I think it is just the ashtrays in general. It has done it on both of my 2gs

My interior is blue too, pics are in gallery, not leather thou. And I gotta agree with you, blue does not belong in a car interior.

i have a '95 Eclipse GS. It is white and it has the blue interior, the technical name for it is Salem Blue, it says it on the back of the interior pieces. I personally arent really a fan of it and would much rather the all black interior in a white car. mine only has the cloth seats and not the leather though.
