i have a 95 eclipse which i am waiting to install my blitz kit, projectors, z3 fenders, and carbon hood, and I am wondering what bulbs you guys put in your projectors. I want something bright that also looks good. I like the blueish look of some bulbs but the ones i have found arent bright at all. Any type of info would be great...........

thanks..... :dsm:

does anyone know what number bulbs to use in these lights??? Also I want the bluish look but also bright light....will the silverstars have that blue tint?? If not....does anyone know some bulbs that can????

I am also wondering the number codes for these. H3's? There are (I think) 3 bulbs per headlight. Which ones are which?

SilverStars are a cold white to your eyes. They're about as close to OEM HID as you can get for incandescents. None of that annoying blue stuff that actually degrades vision. Have a keyword search for "silverstar" and you'll get some great info.

As for which bulb those lamps are, I wouldn't worry - Sylvania makes SilverStars to fit just about every popular aftermarket fog/driving and low/high beam combo. :thumb: I don't know what the low-beam projectors are for that particular unit (*you'll want to e-mail the seller/retailer/maker of the lamp* if you want product-specific info.), but I am fairly certain by the looks of the picture that the high-beams are H1 for those units - and yes, SilverStars are available in that fittment.

PS: There should be an outermost "marker" bulb, 1157 fit, for that unit. Sylvania does market a SilverStar signal bulb which is a direct-replacement for that fit. In this application, the bulb is clear/blue-ish (think "ion" effect) when the bulb is off, but becomes amber when you turn on either the parking lamps or that particular turn signal, thus being 100% road-legal.

By the looks of the picture I have the same lights but with the black housing and I just used my stock bulbs. I didn't have to change the bulb to use the lights. So I think you could use whatever the stock bulb numbers are. If you go to an autoparts store they should have a book there that can tell you the right numbers.
