Stock Side skirts

Hi, I'm new here. I have a question I hope you guys can answer. (and before u bash me, yes i have used the search feature and not found what I'm looking for.

Ever since I got my 1997 Eclipse RS, i've wanted to keep it clean. I'm in the process of ordering a urethane Front Blitz kit Bumper (yea, i know blitz). However, that's all i wanted. Just to make it more unique. I just found this site recently and was amazed to see XerxeS car. It is EXACLY what I have been going for.

However, after extensive research I noticed my side skirts are different... I've always heard of talk about 95 skirts being different from 97-99's. My car is a 97 so i assumed I'd have the thicker skirts as seen in XerxeS . But again after research I noticed rs99nt's eclipse also has the same skirts as me...

Am I wrong or what's happening? XerxeS has a 97 Eclipse RS (same as me) and rs99nt has a 99 eclipse RS. I'd really like the look of XerxeS's car (sorry i'm not trying to copy u, but that's what I've always wanted).

Well, what I'm asking is, is it normal for my 97 rs to have these skirts? and where can I get the same ones as XerxeS? anyways thanks, I think that's it.

hey man Look for a 1998 GS , those skirts lok exactly like mine on my GS (asuming you want what is on the black car

The 95-99 Eclipse RS's didnt come with sideskirts. They only came on the 95-99 GS's, GS-T's, GSX's. The 95-96 GS's, GS-T's, GSX's sideskirts were a little different from the 97-99's. The ones that are on XerxeS car looks like he added the stock 97-99 skirts. You can either order them from the dealer or find them on dsmtrader. Also check out the classifieds section someone could also be selling them there.

ya i put the 97-99 style on my 96 rs

fauchpj- Did they go right in or did you need to drill holes? I just bought 98 GSX skirts for my 96 GSX.

i had to drill holes because mine is an RS. but yours should bolt on because you have a GSX and your car already came with skirts

Doh, My Bad, forgot the RS didn't have them. I was just curious if the holes lined up or if they changed the locations between the years.
