Im looking into buying a 93 AWD TSi from a local guy and I was wondering if anyone has tried to swap the eclipse taillights and back bumper onto a 93 TSi. I love the style of the rear eclipse lights with the color matched stripe though the middle and was hoping it was possible. i may just paint the center piece black to match the car instead if i get it.

I got a few other questions bout the motor that I will post here instead of making a new thread.

This year did come with a 7-bolt swap and im kind of worried about crank walk. Was crank walk as common with that year as it became with 95-99. My sources may be off but now im asking a DSM board so things can be set straight.

also will an eclipse Apexi N1 fit on the talon? thanks

No.

Yes, as long as they are both for an AWD.

i thought after 93 the 7 bolt was introduced...like 94+

92 was the last year of the 6-bolt and it ended in the middle.

1Gb Eclipse Tails won't swap onto a Talon rear-bumper, so you'd have to swap them. I prefer the Talon rearend anyhow, no nasty waves that tend form across it.

Seven-Bolt engines started after May '92 production date. Crankwalk is overblown - but with a 1G, you'd be fine. '96s are supposedly the most prone - but don't get wrapped up in the myth that it happens to every car - it happens in a very small percentage of 2G owners, and with any mechanical failure, that rate increases the more you modify the car from it's stock form.

With the exception of some lights and bodypanels, a DSM is a DSM is a DSM, meaning parts for an Eclipse will always work on a Talon.

If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest reading the DSM 1000 Already Asked Questions Page, or just browse through the forums, just about anything you'd ask has most likely already been answered.

as long as you use the eclipse rear bumper with the eclipse tails, its a direct bolt on. you will have to do some wiring changes, especially as far as the back up lights.

i dont know quite what you mean by it came with a 7 bolt swap, the 7 bolt is the stock engine, not a swap in 93.

when your searching for parts, you will actually in most cases have better luck searching for 1g eclipse gsx parts. as far as engine and other mods anyways
