yes, there are kits on ebay if you don't know how

i forgot who...but someone here has done that to their car

There might be a write up on 2gnt.com about that. I know some people have made the stock center light up over there, i believe its the same method.

i saw a 1g dsm that had the the piece between the tail lights converted into taillights.. i have also seen this on a crx.. i was wondering where to find a kit like that?

i think you'd probably have to take it apart and cut out some plastic from the inside and put bulbs in it and wire it to your tail lights / brake lights/ turn signals.

I finally finished my stock tail light mod. What do you guys think...Nice or Rice. I need constructive criticism please. pic1 with flash on pic 2 with flash off

BTW, I'm also working on a carbon altteza center piece too. I post it when I'm done with that.

Wow!!!! If you could (you'd have to be a creative friggin' genius) do that for a 1g I would cry! :thumb: :thumb:

I've been thinking about doing this with my car. Could you PM me or email and let me know how you went about doing this? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Very nice! Maybe you could post a guide on it, Im sure there are people here that would like to know how!

A light mod that actually looks factory. Excellent, probably the only tail light modification that I wouldn't call rice or hideous.

Looks great dude.

I have been thinking about attempting this with my 1g as well. Only it says "Mitsubishi" across the center peice. I too would be interested to know how you went about getting only the letters to show through and not the whole center peice. Maybe you could do a write up in the tech articles? Or just PM me with some details. :thumb:

Nice and clean. Major props. :thumb:

Could you write up a DIY on that mod?

Once again, nice job dude.

I think its ricey but thats my opinion, doesnt look bad either. But its just like putting a big H on the hood of a honda, I mean everyone knows its a honda...just like everyone knows its an eclipse. The stock one looks fine, but what I always say "to each his own."

I did simliar with the center on my Talon. Didn't come out as clean as yours, but I have a bit more contours to my center piece and it's hard to get a good light source that's not diluted by the tag lights shingin back up inside.

To get only the letters to show, I masked off the inside of the letters and painted the rest of the inside black. It's already got a silver coat to make the red plastic more luminous naturaly in the sunlight, after you remove that from where the letters are to illuminate, you can then go back and just black out the rest. It takes a little time, but it's not too difficult.

Nice job man. Defninitely not rice. It reminds me of the older Z cars from back in the day. Very smooth and cool in that you don't see it all the time like blue neons or indigay gauges. :thumb:

ricey, but nicely crafted

I would ditch the quad exhausts though, who are you trying to fool anywayz :barf:
