I think i have a bad (or going bad) power door lock sylinoid or actuator.. not sure what the actual part is, (its real hard to see inside the door)

I looked up a stock replacement and mitsu wants $195 (rediculous)

I found these:
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=330-010

but i'm not sure if thats what i need or not, it will push/pull which is basicaly all my power locks do now (as far as i can tell) anyone know anything about this stuff?

its a 1995 eclipse GSX

is this a pretty easy change out or something more "custom" ?

(search didnt turn up much for me)

btw, the symptoms of my actuator/ sylinoid what ever are :

It's REAL noisy & will unlock the car, but doesn't lock the car (makes a LOUD buzzing sound when i hit the remote lock button or power interior button)

I can still manualy lock the door fine though.

edit: guess i just needed to read a few pages deeper on my search. here's the tech artical

ive been manually locking my 2g doors for 7 years now. I used some of those actuators and they worked fine. Until one day the power wire burned up :coy: i had the relays in the door and it rained :p

I bought a kit off ebay and wrote a whole guide to going from manual to power locks using that type of locking mechanism. Check the tech guides. Ill get a link in a sec.
