All I see in the gallery is guys painting the middle of thier tailights to match thier cars color. Is it just as easy as it looks ? Just paint and clearcoat the middle of the lights ? Will spray paint do the trick? Any info will help me out greatly.

You might want to sand it down a little, put some rubbing alcohol on there and porimer it. But yes, it is very easy, it was my first mod on my last eclipse. :)

I didn't know if you still had the letters on there, but if you want to get rid of them, peel them off with a blade, or mask around them with masking tape like I did when I tinted all my tails.

Lights shining through? They're talking about the center piece where it says Eclipse, that doesn't light up. Now if you're talking about the actual taillights, there is tint out there you can buy that you can spray on them. Some people used Krylon stained glass or VHS Niteshades(I think thats what it's called, if I'm wrong someone correct me)

VHT Nightshades, that's what it be!

I just got my center painted to match and I put it on this past weekend. Originally I was gonna put letters back on it but changed my mind and I'm gonna leave it clean and smooth.

Thanks for the reply's fellas, I am going to tackle this tough project(painting my tails) this weekend LOL. yeah if you want to tint out your taillights nightshades is defintly the way to go, 3-4 coats and your good to go.
