Miami,
Advance Auto sells these Arvin C072603 hatch struts. They are 21.99 for 2 as opposed to the 20 dollar each struts we're all used to. Anyone tried them?

For reference, OEM hatch struts are $27.20 each(list price). MR100467/MR100468

Yes, I can see how my car information would help extensively when asking about hatch struts on a dsm site.

We got a wise guy! Careful with those jokes, someone might think you are funny. :)

Try them out, let us know. I picked up a set from the junk yard that only lasted a good 4 months for 10 bucks, but for that price i'd be willing to buy a couple sets.

There. I'm a good boy. I will be buying these this weekend, I'll post my results.

1G struts are the same, left and right. 2G struts are different parts, left and right, and for this distinguishing characteristic 2G owners get to pay up to twice as much for one. Oddly, and quite uncharacteristically for such a nozzle as you're acting to be (and, may in fact actually be), you've stumbled onto an ironic truth.

Thank you so royally much for your extreme exertion in playing along. The depths of our appreciation cannot be related in mere terms of human speech. We realize that in order to get the kind of help from dozens of experts which most shops would give you incorrectly and for a rather high fee, our free help is extraordinarly demanding in effort on the part of our freeloading members who in their 2½ years of "participation" have never contributed anything in return to the site other than their shit.

If you now need assistance in the installation of these struts, rest assured than anyone here will be particularly delighted in telling you where to stick them, and how:
