Isnt that one of the down falls from the Evo or was that just from the 03" Evo, the seats were supposely dangerous to the kidneys or something, making the bleed, I dunno some organ. I read a article about it, it was right around the same time Mitsubishi was getting in trouble for a bunch of stuff so it could have just been something thrown in to blow up more steam. I just heard there was a fight to get them recalled just like the 97-99 GSX Rim recall still in the process of trying to be a recall. Just something I heard about those seats, worth looking into.

i dont understand what could be wrong with the seats? they are recaros best sellers i believe? And are still sold on the website so i dont understand what could be wrong? this is hte first i heard of this.

How much did you get them for and condition?

I find this very, very hard to believe, considering they've been using that style of seat since around 1997.

Maybe for fatass people. If your seats are diggin into your sides then go on a diet. The American Evo Recaros are already wider than the Japanese versions, how much more room do you need?

Seats are in perfect condition... $800 from a friend.

The car is still for sale but I will be more than happy to keep it, I wanna see what I can get for it and am in no hurry to sell.

I bought recaros seat brackets for them to fit.

ya i know they came out of an evo 8. I heard somewhere they can be fitted in with them but im not 100 percent sure id check that out before you install them.

You'll need to fabricate mounts for those. The DSM floor pan is just the same as..... nothing else ever built.

i heard if you use some superglue and a little bisquick that it works great. you can really feel the full effect of the boost. hits hard as fuk.. just fab up brackets and stop spouting stupidness

most likely what happened was someone commented on the stiffness of the side bolsters mixed with the stiffness of the suspension and said something to the effect of "these seats will make your kidneys bleed" in an attempt to convey the harshness of the ride.

Unless there are hidden spikes that stab into your sides (there's not, i owned an 03 evo) or some other devious device this is physically impossible.


I still have about 30ft of that vacuum hose left... pm me if your interested @ 50 HP a foot you can't go wrong, & i guaranty it won't make any major organs bleed

What ever man, I was just making a statement, but you had to put your two cents in to pick it apart to make your point. I have heard of internal bleeding, yes it sounds far fetched and the only thing a seat could possibley do is hurt the support of your back, I didnt say I believed it, I said "I HEARD IT" just wanted to see if any one else heard of the sort. Wasnt looking for a smartass return comment. I'll take 200 ft of your vaccum hose, does it come in chrome?
