Ruthven,
i was trying 2 remove my daytime running lights & i heard there is a chip under the passenger side kickplate... just wondering wat exactly i'm looking 2 pull out...

Yes its in behind the passager side kick panel. Actually more up and behind the glove compartment but its easier to get to from the kick panel. You will have to reach up into the corner and look for a group of wires that link up to various connectors. One of the connectors is kinda shaped lke a 3d "L". Once you find that you pop the box open and pull out the chip. Voila no more DLR. Hope that helps. If not they may have a write up on vfaq.com not sure, though.

It's a Canada thing. Their cars all come with the running lights on whenever the car is on, much like many motorcycles.

Yeh, it's Canadian. GM's whining about having to build two different wiring schemes is why we're "blessed" with the goddamned things on this side of the border now.

It was fun for the first couple of years, yelling at people that their lights were on :p

Now it's just more goverment bullshit in your car.

Often they make them by running current through both high beam filaments in series so that each one is running at about half-voltage. Like the third brake light, after three years everyone is so used to seeing them that they're as capable of ignoring them as they are of ignoring dark cars.

hey thanx all... the DRL's r out of my car... i'm guessing it'll help a little bit with my power drain problem, but i know there has 2 b sumthing else 2... but every little bit helps... peace oooouuuuuttttt...
