Need HELP new stereo att wont go up!!!

Just install a new HU on my 99 eclipse I follow all the instrutions connected all the wires but the power antenna wont go up. Does anyone know what am I doing wrong??

either you didnt acualy hook the power annten wire up - or there is a function on the radio to turn that circut on/off

did you attach it to the right wire? hook it up to the switching/amp line..usually the all blue line on universal wire harnesses...also, attach it directly to the wire leaving the deck, not through the factory harness

this is one of those cases when just matching the colors isn't good enough.


you should have a light blue and a blue and white stripe wire on the harness, and probably just a light blue/ blue on the radio harness.

blue w/ white is antenna, just blue is amp.
hook the blue only wire from the radio to the blue/white wire (or use a jumper) and the antenna should go up with the unit on and down when off.

if you have an amp and a power antenna, you'll have to either tie the two together, use a relay, or get a head with seperate ant and amp leads.
