Anybody ever Powdercoat the Compressor Housing on the Turbo???

Hey guys... i was just wondering if anyone out there has ever had the compressor housing on thier turbo powdercoated.... I recently bought a garett 60-1 turbo and i polished the compressor housing... however, the finish gets dull just by oxidizing... so, i want to get it clear powdercoated to maintain its luster. The guys at the powder-coating shop said that it would be fine, as long as it doesn't exceed 325 degrees farenheight- that is the temperature that the powder starts to soften and move... So has anybody ever had it done? or know what temperature the compressor housing reaches?

not totally sure but im pretty darn sure its too hot for that.

The compressor housing shouldn't get that hot, you should be able to put your hands on it even after some hard runs. It will be warm(possibly hot), but shouldn't get anywhere near 325º.
