Stealth Goodies ?? hid my AFC somewhat pics inside.

Well Instead of having my AFC and radio out in the open all the time when im not im my car I figured ill make something to cover it up when im gone. Now sure it just pops off but hopefully it will disscurage thiefs from braking in. Ill get better pics in day light

theres 2 dsmers that live with in miles of me well like 6 but they are all cool and know what i have anyways.....and its a 2 piece thing....the just afc little cover and then the whole thing that covers everything, its mainly for when im not in the car but also I can have it on and just see the afc <---> that thing is really for no reason but it works and looks cool.

Why didn't you just put it in the glove box or something? I don't understand why people need to display their afcs at all.

me ? I play with the afc all the time thats why I have it where it is and also its for in a parking lot or when im not in the car. it covers all the gadgets that are there. looks pretty nice in there also .

after driving alittle faster than normal I like to look at how much air I brought in , what rmp i shifted ......recording the THR/AIR/FUEL Trim it would be a pain to lean over the console and open the glove box and everything everytime i wanted to pust a button on my afc ya know ? not to mention how uncomfortable it would be for the passenger. so yeah it is where it is , its goingt o stay there and I Like it . Thanks Plus where would I keep my CD's DUH !! Its cool man i hope the locals like it might even want one !!

I've always liked such panels.. like in the lincoln navigator... Cleans the center console
I would have tried to make it flat blakc like the rest of the console however.

I think that is a sweet idea. Mad props. It is a good way to keep it looking clean and such, and protect your shit. I don't think small theives would truly investigate in the car, they would just grab and run, so it seems pretty functional to me.

Tell me why you need to adjust all the focking time? What are you messing with? If you needed to always be messing with your settings, people wouldn't even bother going to dynos, as you'd have to be going back once a week.

no no its not like super raised i was just saying that to show i didnt tape out the shape of a mitsu logo and then pull it off to get the look and also the logo is black so it shows no deffination unless your right on top of it. with the tint and the flat blackness of it its almost impossible to see anything on my dash there. I really like it too im proud of it. Thanks guys for the good words. Ill get the newer pics soon.

I have to be honest, it is a horrible idea and tacky to boot... The AFC is for one thing optimize your air/fuel mixture. So you use a wideband and/or dyno and get it optimized then dont touch it again unless you have different settings for pump and race gas.. but either way there is no reason to "play" with it all the time. get it setup and you shouldn't touch it very much. put it in the glove box or the center console.. or my thinking about it idea.. under the cup holder, pull the holder part out and it is there..


from the looks of it you have a stock radio in there, most thiefs will either A not want it or B) know you cannot re-use it without a code. If I saw that cover there I would KNOW something was being covered and be interested to see.. so really out of all the congloberation of crap you covered the only thing worth anything is the AFC.. :thumbdown:
