anyone done the DO IT YOUR SELF method of angel eyes on 97-99 headlights? any write ups or anything? i want dual angel eye projectors, but like many others cant find them anywhere so i was wondering if anyone just up and did it them self, if it was hard how long it took so on so forth, spanks.

I'm not sure on whos done that before, but ive heard that its possible by taking a clear blinds adjustor (the long stick you twist to open/close) and put that in the oven and then bend it into a circle and shine 2-3 LED's into them and it creates a halo effect.
ive never seen it to confirm it though, but it sounds like it might work.

Hmmm...the link doesn't work...not anymore atleast, it gives me that "CAN'T FIND..." thingie. So yea, someone mind explaining the steps for the angel eyes.
yeah essiantially you take your rods that you bought from home depot, put them in the oven at 400 degrees for like 5 or 10 minutes take it out (use oven mitts) bend it around a peanutbutter jar bam there is the round eyes. You trim the excess. then you take a dremel tool and cut hash marks about 1/16th apart all the way around the circle. Drill small holes on each end. wire the leds glue them into the holes and there you go.

when i did mine almost 2 years ago, i used the links above. take your time with it and don't rush it. the more quality and care you put in it, the better it will turn out. there may be a pic in my album if you want to check them out.

this is the greatest idea ever! ima gonna do it. i have one question? do i have to put my head light in the oven to open it up? or is the a better way?

na.. its probably the best way.. but i set my oven at 200 and got a cookie sheet covered it with alumin foil and let them set about 2 - 3 minutes.. pulled some of it apart.. stuck them back in for like a minute or 2 and they came right apart.. leavin your oven at a lower temp you have a better chance and not melting your headlight LOL ;] havent tried this mod.. then again i have a 1gb.. but hell i might give it a try.. if so ill post pics
take care

kinda sidetracked but thats ok..i was thinking about doin this to my altezza's on the rear side.. They have a silver ring that goes around the bulb in the back.. and i was figuring you could put the rod after you bent it kinda behind that ring but out just a bit so it would look like the ring glows.. Just an idea.. anyone tried this or think i should go balls deep and do it? o yea.. this would be for a 1g

RadioShack.

for blues I can recommend the "redline" units (pack of 3) you can find at best buy.

they don't need any resistor and are plenty bright ... I have them illuminating the rear floor area in my 2gb talon (so I can find my son's toys/milk etc with out having to find a flashlight!) As a matter of fact I am going to add a resistor to tone them down a little.

price is 6.99
