hey...just out of curiosity, how much of a difference would having lets say 18" chrome spinners and 18" aluminium rims have on average on a cars 1/4 time? it wouldnt make THATTT much of a difference would it? :confused:
 
The less unsprung mass you have, the better.

I don't have any information to compare the two, but I'm sure it will be a noticeable difference. Not only on acceleration, but cornering and braking as well.
 
some experts (don't know who they are) say that for every hundred punds of weight you take off your car it's averaged about 1/8th of a second faster. Less rotational mass is always better.
