Hey, i am picking up my VIS OEM CF hood on tuesday and I really dont want it to look all faded and ugly after a few months like all of my friends' hoods do. Should I put heat shielding stuff like whats on the stock hood on there? Let me know what preparations or care you guys do to keep your hood lookin tits! -Matt

my oem heatshielding is dirty and ugly, so it needs to be replaced. Thank you for the link on that material. Has anyone else put this kinda shielding on their CF hood or am I just being paranoid? I live in AZ, so when its hot, it is VERY HOT! -Matt

ok, i need this answered QUICKLY because I am planning on buying my hood TODAY! Ive heard very mixed reviews about VIS hoods. One one hand, they are supposed to be "name brand" and better than the rest, and on the other hand people using their hoods are complaining that they suck! So which is it? thanks -Matt

I have a VIS cf hood. I love it and I reccomend it. I dont know about fading because mine is painted. As far as fitment, it fits great and latches w/ the OEM latch. Mine is sturdy and does not flex at high speeds. Just my 2 cents, hope it helps.

Thanks -Paul-

well, looks like im gonna get the vis hood. i suppose heatshielding it isnt an issue because no one has said that they shielded theirs. ill probally find something to put on there anyways. Thanks guys!
