Last night I bought a 95 Eclipse RS. The car, mechanically, interior-wise, and exterior-wise, is immaculate. The car is plain, however, and I want that to change without looking "tacky".

I've been eyeing parts here and there, but cannot come up with enough info to make an informaed decision. I will change out the wheels and tires from the factory 14" that currently are on the car, but what sizes fit?

The stock shifter is crap, so a shifter change is needed...reccommendations?

The gauges are getting changed out.

The car will get a suspension upgrade to stiffen it up a bit and lower it a bit...ideas?

Body kit. I like the Kaminari and the Rdora...are these "clean" body kits?

I'd appreciate any help you can provide.

Are you planning on painting it (the entire car.)? Your budget may determine which upgrades you select.
If so, you can shave the spoiler and antenna, if you like the clean hatch look. A 97-99 Front bumper with foglights would be a nice upgrade for your RS, also keeping your factory front and adding OEM foglites and the tsunami lip is clean too. along with the factory sideskirts and 97-99 rear bumper, a carbon fiber hood (if you like the look), it would be a nice, relatively cheap "bodykit". and its clean enough to never go out of style. i'd tint the windows a little and lower it two inches or so. You can also clean the eclipse writing off the rear between the tail lights and clearcoat the taillights for a little more shine.
For rims, there are many many different sizes that fit the eclipse, its a matter of personal taste and unfortunately (for me) depends heavily on the conditions of the roads in your area. I have seen up to 20" rims on eclipses fit (with fender modification) but the roads around here destroy 19" rims in literally a day or two. If youre not planning on a large bodykit or alot of lowering, 18" will be plenty big and wont kill your performance if you get a light weight wheel. But The more rim you have, the less tire you have, and the prices go up obviously. you can get the stock 16" GS-T 5 spokers in chrome, which i feel is one of the best wheels ever for our car (hey it came from the factory that way, theyre lightweight, relatively cheap, look great on a lowered suspension car) or 17" GSX wheels, either are very nice and will easily fit on a lowered car. For performance mods start with an intake and exhaust. Have fun :thumb:
