I tried cuting a wire to find out what it was from the stock wire loom, suppositivly "wire #4" from the manual, which it didnt say what it was for. At the end when i cut it (its a white wire with a black line along it, one of the single ones on the smaller wire clip of the two clips plus the attena wire) , I concluded it was probably the ground wire because when i put turned the accesory on AND tried starting the car, the radio wouldnt get any power at all. (after re-connecting the wires, of course)

I only noticed at the end the battery was still connected all the while so i tried checking ALL the fuses, even the one on the radio, and none were blown.

What the hell did i do? Did i burn the stock unit completely? and mainly, what is that wire for?
I want to say screw it and have someone do it for me but :
A) I HATE driving without music
B) My budget isnt worth crap these days.
C) If i find out i burned something internally that is important, i cant afford someone else to fix that, too.

Can anyone direct me to a simple installation guide that outlays the WHOLE car and EVERY wire? I have tried COUNTLESS pages, even referrals from defiant and Ludachris and still i cant find the simplest thing to help my situation out. I have a sony tape deck and an equalizer, 2 tweeters to hook up as well as a 10 inch sub and a sony 4 channel amp. I dont even know anyone that knows what the hell to do with that whole set up.

Thanks for your time.

Check your power supply wires at the head unit. I wouldn't think that the power antenna would cause the whole system to quit working. Check the fuse under the hood too. I once had it blow for no reason. Check that you have a 12v constant and on and off with the key.
