Before the flames come, yes, I did search, but I came up with no definitive answer.

Does anyone have this kit? Does it ride well, or does it suck? I'm talking about the whole kit here, not just the springs mixed with other stuff. Do you feel every bump on the road when it's extended fully, or what? HELP!

Chec out the suspension forum, they will be able to help you better than we can in here.

I don't have the kit.. but i will tell you what i have gathered by reading.

>does the ride suck?
Well, the factory springs are pretty soft compared to the GC kit. It i remember correctly the stock spring rates are somewhere around 250/350 (front/back) [those arent exact numbers, but should be pretty close to reality]. The GC springs come from the factory with 300-400/500+ [rounded numbers, im not sure exactly what they are]. These numbers are wuite a bit stiffer than the OE springs, thus resulting in a stiffer ride. Yes, you will feel more bumps, no it will be nowhere near as soft as stock. This change in 'riding pleasure' may not be what you are looking for, but the car won't roll nearly as much during cornering.

Most people try to pair these springs up with crappy shocks (crappy for the spring application) such as AGX, or illumina's and then complain about the ride. The key to a good suspension setup that everyone forgets is the shock. The suspension is all in the shock; they make or break the system. So, in light of this knowledge, most anyone who builds suspension will tell you Koni yellow. The reason is because these shocks have a shorter shock body than the OE shocks and most aftermarket ones. These shocks also have a valve system better suited for high rated springs.

Basically... will the ride suck... compared to stock, yes. That's the price to pay for lowering the car and getting the performance out of it. Get the best shocks you can afford, you will thank yourself later on.

A buddy of mine had them and it was a horrible ride. The handling wasnt that great either. If you can save for some actual coilovers(JIC, B&G, Teins, etc) you will be much happier.

thanks for the opinions/advice, guys. I'm eyeing a set of Tien coilovers right now. Thanks again.
