Hey guys i was looking on the forums and i cant really find my answer. I was looking to buy some piaa's bulbs for my head lights. I want some nice clean white bulbs. I dont want that sick blue look from the cheap bulbs. I was wondering what is the replace type i guess for my bulbs? Or ones that will fit. I have a 2g talon tsi 95. Thanks

$40 for silverstars at any local chain auto parts stoe(autozone, advance, pepboys, etc) with no shipping and you can have them tomorrow. Plus, whiter, briter light and street legal.

Ok, will they give me the hid light look. Cause i used to have a acura tl and i loved the headlights on it. They were so clean and BRIGHT!!! Does anyone have pics with the silverstar installed?

Stay away from the PIAAs. They burn out really quick. There are lots of pics online of cars with the Silverstars, but they don't depict how they really look like in person. Just get the Silverstars. You won't regret it.

Do i have to get 2 set of bulbs for high beams and low beams? Just wondering new to the this whole headlight deal. What are the best size bulbs to get? Also in about a month i want to get my halos, can i take out the bulbs and switch them to my halos?

OK. You'll need 9006 for the low beams and 9005 for the high beams. Two of each. Most people just get the low beams, since they don't use high beams often. If you use high beams a lot, you might want to get those, too. It's up to you. Check your local Walmart and see if they have them. They are the cheapest there.

I'm guessing that they will fit the halo light you are talking about, but I'm not sure. As long as they accept the stock bulb socket, they'll fit.

Ok, well i found some on ebay for 24 plus 8 for shipping, thats a good deal from what ive seen in the store. Over here i think there 49.99. Also i didnt look on the forum but is there anyway to clean some yellow stuff inside my lights?

I love Piaas. I still have two sets from my streetbikes. One set was on the bike for 2 years. They were brighter, and had a sweet look. I liked them so much, I pulled them out when I sold the bikes. PIAAs are not the same as the cheap ones. I just got a set of Silverstars for my car. And I have to say they are comparable to the PIAAs. Either way they are both good, but there was a night and day difference between the lightson my bike and my buddies bike with the cheap plasma whatever crap bulbs.

I used to think PIAAs were good and I liked the purplish color, but my friend had them installed on his Honda Odyssey and they burned out at the rate of one per month. These were the Super Plasma ones. PIAA makes a bunch of different ones so I don't know how the others perform.

Hey guys thanks for your feedback and help. I went for the silverstar and ill let you know how they come out! Thanks!!

FYI PIAA makes all kinds of bulbs. I have never seen purpalish ones before. Even their Plasma Blues are like silver And I am not saying it never happened, but after working at shops for years. 90% of the time bulbs failed cause of incorrect installation including touching the glass. I have only seen one PIAA bulb fail in a year, and the guy had them replaced for free

I myself have been happy with them and would buy them again, but the silverstars come in a sealed beam

Well, I can tell you I was careful not to touch the bulb when I installed them. As for the purplish color, they were that color with the Super Plasma ones. Anyway, I'm way over the purplish, blue bulbs. I like the Silverstars with the white light they produce.

Spanky7829, you won't be disappointed, although they look better with the 2Gb's clear headlight lens. Still, you'll see the difference and it'll be better after you get rid of the yellow on your lenses.

im confused about my head lights i changed them to a se of black housing 97-99 projectors and the bulbs they came with are not 9006 or 9005 theese bulbs have 1 terminal on them and the lightbulb housing is grounded to where it mounts in the light housing

if any1 has any clue what kind of bulbs thees are your help would be nice cause i like to keep an extra set on hand for an emergancy (nothing like having some thing go wrong at 4am on your 86 mile commute home from work through back woods west verginia)

Sounds like H-3 bulbs.

thats the ones i got are they better than the 9006 9005 bulbs?
Eh, more of a toss-up. Easier to wire (chassis ground) and you can get them up to 130W. I don't know if the headlight reflector could do anything with it.

No, swapping out to 900X would be pointless, and very difficult. The location of the filament in a headlight housing is crucial.
