well, im having buddy club2 sideskirts installed and i was curious if i should have them put weather stripping between the skirt and the car?

I know some cars get a gap, and i wanted to use it to fill it.

unless of course there is no gap.

Anyways, ive heard of that before so i wanted to see whatcha guys thought

Why dont you bondo the gap? If the skirts is fastened in place as it should be..there will be no problem.I did it on my GS and I am doing it rihgt now on the spyder..

HAHAHAhaaha... i was staring, and staring at that pic, i was like..... what is that............ then it clicked and i saw your name!

was there a large enough gap to fill?

im just a bit worried and i have the shop doing it so i wasnt sure if there was an issue with the skirts and if i should tell them to put the stripping cause im worried about stress cracks. (my driving is a bit harsh, you think itd be alright, thatd be true if it was anyone but me, i break allot of stuff)

shat, i just looked at your pics

do you have stock exaust? i reallllly dont want to cut mine.

the kit i mean. hell, id rather weld up a POS exhaust i have somewhere and use that. then cut it. chit.

i too have buddy club 2 body kit and we are molding the side skirts and rear bumper (basically because they fit like ass and it would be easier then forming them to fit the car good), and its turning out nice so far, but instead of bondo like euro we are using a high strength glue (rated at 3600 psi) that is used for fiberglass-metal and then we are fiberglassing over that to flatten it out a bit, it should turn out pretty nice

only problem is my passenger side skirt is about 1/4 too long so the whole fitment is off so tahts going to be a pain in the ass to fix

Mine is glued as well...only top that is bondoed. It will not flex and crack..trust me ;-) However I am not molding my bumpers...Will be PITA when you need to do something with the car...

No I dont have stock exhaust..I have a dual 4" tip...so I remade my kit around hte exhautstopening...like this(dont be fooled..its straight):

As far as the kit in general goes..well If I had a stock car it would be rather ok I guess..but with my FMIC...my exhaust and all..well I had to remake it some*S* Foglights go since they are closer together then stock in the kit and they will now hit my FMIC..so I have to loose them..Will make some ohter ones fit though.somehow.

thats true, there is no reason for me to remove the sideskirts at all.

i wasnt sure about it cause the BC2 website claims OEM fitment. etc. so no probs.

but, oh well. so you put Glue there? to hold it on? its better than holes i guess from that.

do you think the rear will fit with stock exhaust?

i guess now time to see about how much it would cost to get them to mold it on to the body.

im a little worried about this place and so im curious what kind of glue your using?

There is not such kit as a OEM fitment kit*LOL* They all differ more or less and require some work. ;-)

Well as far as glue....I used PL400 and it strong as hell. I glued the sideskirts...both edges and the flat surface inside...that lays along the side of the car. I also made some brackets that holds the skirt up under the door since the skirts doesnt go upon stock body there.
I have this opinion on bodykits and putting htem on..THe less holes in the body the better...less chance of rust spots and stuff.
