I wanna replace my front and rear speakers with some more powerful ones, maybe jenwood and jbl or something...suggestions on brands and how do i get at the speaker? does the top just come off does the whole panel have to come off? and are the speakers different sizes from front to back like are the frotn speakers round and rear oval? what are the dimensions i would need to know to get a fit for new speakers in my old speaker holes? thanks guys i look forward to seeing your experienced advice ;)

Can someone elaborate? what kind of infinite speakers? how much do they go for? are they loud crisp? do they distort? exactly what shape and size for frotn and back and #@%#@%#@%#@%.. :-/ sorry LOL im just a lil confused please help me

james

look closer...i told you what size for the front and back dude. 6.5" for front and 6x9" for rear. and you don't need to remove the entire rear panel to install...just the metal grill. should pop out with a large flathead screw driver.

if you want recommendations on exact speakers you're going to have to elaborate on your application. how much do you want to spend? do you plan on using an amp? what kind of music do you listen to? and do you have a aftermarket cd player? if not...get that first.

also, why would i recommend the infinities if they were not loud and crisp and distorted easily??? LOL just wondering.

you seem a bit uneducated. being this site isn't exactly big on audio...i'd recommend you hanging out in the www.sounddomain.com forums for awhile so you're not so helpless. goodluck.

Do not pull of the grill for the back speakers because you can't get to all the screws, and you will have a hell of a time to get them back in because they have tabs that bend over from the inside. It is much easier to just pull of the panel ,there are only three screws holding it in.

I agree with duckrider. DO NOT RIP THE SPEAKER GRILLS OFF WITH A SCREWDRIVER. The back panels are very easy to get off. Sony Explode is a great sounding , inexpensive speaker fo whatever location in your car.

Isnt there a way to replace those ugly stock grills? You guys have all just left the stock grills to cover up the nice speakers.
