I need to replace the stock speakers on my car and I was wondering what kind of speakers have a good treble and bass sound. I want a good clean sound. I don't have any experience in car audio so in need of help. Someone was telling me that I should get rear speakers with a good bass (since I don't plan on getting subs) and the front speakers and tweeter with good treble combination for an all around good sound. I need some suggestions on the best 6 1/2, tweeters, and 6x9 speakers so I don't waste my money. :thumb:

Infinity components up front and Bostons in the back. Ive had 2 sets of bostons in my past 2 cars and they are amazing.

Kickers are ok but too expensive for what you get,
MB Quart, focals Boston, Jl Audio, PhoenixGold are good up front.

rear I have alpine 6x9s

Don't get all your bass in the rear though please...
Get a good set of 6.5 that can play well down to 80hz 120 hz or so, so they will match up well with the 6x9 output.

the rears are for "fill" anyway, you want your music in front of you, not chasing you down the road like an angry father!

BTW If you find one inexpensively, the infinity bass link provides good results, just crossover the infinity at about 120 and using a small 4 channel amp hi passcrossover the others at about 120 and you will be set.

Best of Luck!

If you have a local shop that is moving, or going out of business you can find some exceptional deals on some upper end stuff, if not try your local Best buy or Circuit City for solid if not spectacular equipment at good prices if you are on a tight budget.

I have Diamond all around my car, but they are expensive, and I doubt you wanna go with anything like that. I also have some Memphis studio comp's that you could use up front, I am selling those and a 200.4(50x4) Memphis 16-ST2004 amp, the front speakers sound very nice, they have good mid-bass, and a 1" built in tweeter. The amp will really bring out the best in them, pm me or email me if you are interested

I had alpine type s in the front and 6*9 type r coaxials in the rear they sounded great but it was hell putting them in , they did'nt fit the stock locations so I removed the speaker metal things behind the plastic panels and cut out the grill then bolted my speaker in a fiberglass enclosure ... alpine is certainly not the best but I got a great deal out of them.

I have Infinitys and I love them so far.

Also, I would not recommend mixing up brands. Each brand of speaker sounds better for different types of music and I don't think it helps to mix and match. Go to a good audio store and test them out and you will see what I mean.
