I need to get my front bumper and my hood painted since it has a lot of nicks from rocks and shit. Also the paint on my front bumper is cracking real bad. Does anybody know of any paint shops that I could get my hood and front bumper painted for a good price? Also has anybody here had their front bumper and hood re-painted, if so, how much did it cost you?

go take a look at your local shops.. see some work they've done.. and judge from there.

me personally i'm going to prep the hood/bumper myself [ sanding ] and have maaco do it..

Can you give me some ideas on what I need to prep the bumper. Like what tools I need to do it myself. I know I need sandpaper but what grade etc. Thanks. :thumb:

600 grit automotive sand paper. Well at least thats what my painter told me to use when i prepped my engine bay. So should be the same.

Ok thanks. But how do I take the current paint off? Do I just sand it and it will come up by itself? Sorry for the questions but I'm a noob with this and I really want to learn and do it myself. Not to cheap but to learn for experience. ;)
