Ive seen many drift videos. And it seems that most of the drift cars have one thing in common. They all have the wheels tucking right up next to the fender with some wide rims with a fat lip. It looks awesome. I was wonder how they get the wheels to look like that? Is it a certain offset? Is it possible to have that look on my 91 tsi? If so how would I do it?

here is a picture of my new wheels , they are 18/8 with 41mm offset, they bearly fit and are Very close to the lip..dsms are not really designed to run very wide wheels..

Pauls looks good. Is that offset going to be hard on the wheelbearings? For some reason I cant find any pics.... seems like its the biggest pain in the ass when you really want them. Basically like the wheels on signals drift 108sx's with s15 headlights.

I can't read it...What size tires are you running?

That offset is actually just right, last year i was using 17/7.5 with 35mm and 225/45 and the car was fine, this year with 235/40/18 it should work awsome..

Cool, thanks.

I'm looking into putting a set of the 18" Axis Supermesh on my GST, was wondering what a good tire would be.

^^If you get the 17/7 get 40mm with 225/45 tire..i would try to get 17/7.5 or 8 . I think that 17/8 with 42mm and 225/45 would make the best overall combo..

On top of that drift cars have some pretty extreme negative camber in the rear. That's one of the reasons why they look so "tucked in". I like the deep dish look too but unfortunately I have yet to see a dsm be able to fit one in.
