... We'll, believe it or not, I love to drift. Nothing like' having it side-ways on the road. Anyways... I was drifting on a backroad not to long ago, and .. well.. it went to far. I lost controll of my car totally, the ass-end went out full-blown, I slam'd it into second and tried to recover, but the slide the other way while I went off into the bushes. side-swiped and teley pole, and played chicken with a road sign, it was a draw. THe hood is slam'd down, the front bumper is gone, and the teley pole took out my mirrior, and fender (stop'd right at my door.) so I've got 3 panels that are gone, and a busted mirror (along with the light) The light frame was bent down, and could most likely be bang'd back up and into position... I'm not sure whats going on under the fender status. Because it was not a impact stop, the car starts right up, and works fine (besides AC lines laying on the compressor pulley, which I already moved.) Anyways, back to the main point. I'm getting my car looked at right now to see how much the repairs will be, if they are over 3K, I want to take my car to a local performance shop, and have him do it for me for about 2.8K (Install new lights, add a BOV, redo the frame thats been moved, and install a 3 hand-lay'd fiber "Q Flared" japan wide-bodyit, painted, adjusted and with a warranty.) Problem is, I want to do my research but can't. I can't find much on this bodykit, only afew pictures. It says it includes a "Fenders" and "fender addons" ... The reason I lean to this bodykit is that it replaced the front bumper, and fender, I'll most likely buy a aftermarket hood also. I was wondering what everyones thoughts where on this kit, and to get more information about it (No luck with google.)

And for some insurance questions, I don't deal with them much at all. I'm 18, and my cars on my mothers policy, but I own the car, and pay the lean, and insurance for it. SHe wants the repair shop its at (Autobody) to do the repairs, and I want another shop (called 703) to do it... if the total is over 3K, I'm going to call the insauce rep for the policy, and ask him if its ok, because the car has a lean on it I hear I might have problems, ... I was wondering if I can get some input on how things work here... Thanks.

1) Street drifting=bad. Most of the people here don't condone any type of street racing, innocent people get hurt that way.

2)You drift your FWD? I know it kinda can be done.

3) I think your looking for the Quweez (sp?) Some of us hate it, some of us like it. http://www.extremedimensions.com/shopexd.asp?id=4543

4)Depending on the amount of damage, they may total your car. Also, if they know why it got wrecked, they won't cover it. You can have other shops work on your car. Most insurance places cut you ( your mom ) a check for the repair

5) Learn from this experience, you could be dead because of it, or you could of killed someone else. It's time to grow up and race legally

i love it
but you keep the stock front abd rear,,,,,it overlays them byt he way

You weren't drifting, you were being a retard with an ebrake. Learn the difference.

The only bodykits that are made in Japan are the original Rudora kits that are no longer availible (Knockoffs are though), Bomex kits, and Veilside kits. That's it.

I would not be suprise if it is totaled due to the frame damage.

Slow down there, speedy.

HAHAHA, I think this is the general consensus:laugh:

i said it 1845732895473985 times, ill say it again.. quwhees (sp?) kit is hands down the ugliest thing EVER made for any car let alone our cars.. i would rather drive a slammed gold cart with spinning hubcabs for the rest of my life, then to have to drive a DSM with that kit, it no way will i ever "like" that kit, let alone agree with someone on getting it. even if i hate you, i wouldnt let you do that to yourself.

1. get your car fixed - its its not totaled.
2. slow down
3. drifting is NOT done with an ebrake
3a. YOU should NOT be ass dragig
4. if you must get a kit, get a good looking one.
5. dont be a dumbass.

... Anyways - to the guy that says I'm retarded, and drift with a Ebrake... no.. I'm not. The Ebrake was a last option.. to throw my ass end abit more so I wouldn't have totaled the car. Its REAL easy to open your mouth up over the forum - I love to drift, I used to do it in a 1994 Nissan Sentra, I was not used to my eclipse, I didn't have it very long, and it got out from under me S*&T HAPPENS. The headlight joint was ALMOST not even pushed down, for your info. I would be stun'd if the repairs came to over 3.5K (Which is not much repairshop wise... my brother got a 'dent' ... very small, in his truck from someone hitting him and the repair bill was 900 bucks...) I only try to drift on back mountain roads. We have a park road that is closed off, that we go on and drift once in awhile, its VERY very rare to see a car come. We check the area first. Its still not safe, but better then nothing-gota love nextel. I don't "Street race" I like to show, and get it side-ways... nothing like having your car sideways. Didn't know I would get put down so much for just trying to get an answer. I don't go off the road much, this was my second dip off in 2 years of drifting. Anyways the car has a lean on it still, so I don't know if I would get the money back - I was just trying to get other views... not be hated.

Do you not understand that you cannot truly drift with a FWD car? All you are doing is locking the back tires up and sliding. You need a RWD or AWD car to really drift. Stop being a moron.

blah blah blah blah Hard-ass talk

I will say it again, yanking the e-brake on a box-stock FWD econoboxes is not drifting. You are 18 years old, and apparently have a really dumb death wish doing such shinnanigans on public roads. Do you think you're some sort of MEGA DRIFTER because you [claim] that you've been yanking e-brakes for two years?

Realize that some of us are a bit older and a bit wiser than you at some things.

a closed off road... + it is very rare to see a car... hmmm... :shhh: ! ++ A 94 nissan Sentra (FWD)... not a 240 not a 300... so its not a drifter! There is no way that you can drift it, without E-break, or totally worn off tires(BTW hear the tires squishing is not drifting), still you dont have the control like a RWD or AWD(RWD prefered... :D )!!! Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to much GT3... ...maybe...
... !!!i;)

So you "HAVE" to use the Ebrake to send your back into a slide? No. Its not impossible to drift in a FWD car, its harder - alot of people give BS about it "OHHH ITS NOT REAL DRIFTING" I'm not in it to be a real drifter, I enjoy drifting with what I've got - its not like I'm hard up in japan running down a mountain side. You guys like to line up and say stuff. The eclipse tires are DEAD - the first week I had the car, getting used to the turbo kicking in and getting a good launch was fun they got rotated to the back, the wires were ALMOST showing - I know I shouold have had new tires on there, I was getting to it within the next 3 days, so I figure'd I was going to let it slide out once or twice... and that was my mistake. Saying that you've used the ebrake for a lockup to slide is right, but thats not what I did - and its not what you have to do, or what happened. The only reason I went off of the road was lack of feel for the car. Although now that its in the shop, and being taken care of I don't think I'll play around on the backroads with my eclipse anymore.

Thanks for the rough break-in guys. Not some dangerous punk that likes the backroads... I know every GST, and GSX owner on here likes to go fast.

Just saw that someone was talking about the Setnra, it was a 94 1.6L frame set, but I bought a SE-R JDM engine, tranny, drivetrain, and ECU (You can do it.... EEEEEEE-Bay). It was FUN getting that all setup and in place. I paid some shop to put the tranny in and the drive setup - didn't feel 100% comfortable doing it myself... BECUASE IT CONVERTED TO AWD, Anyways - to make things sort. I loved to mess with GSX's. Someone slam'd into the end of my Sentra, its pretty much dead. I sold the engine, and the car? its just laying around in the driveway.

I didn't really feel like getting into details on what I'm talking about - but since everyone loves to be so nice... I also went to afew LEGAL drift offs in PA... drifting aint real popular around here.

www.srswap.com/html/info/awdsr20det.htm hmm... :shhh: I think they know what they are doing...!!!!!! I bet your car was alreaddy the "JDM" model, just with an US engine... huh? :thumb:
ps: are you sure someone slamed into your rear... or maybe you couldn'd release your E-Break...:shhh:

first off not the best idea what you did, but for the main question on hand machv.com sells a real nice wide body kit and many others try checking it out.

ps.if your ever in my neighbor hood give me a call so i dont go out and get ran off the road by someone "getting to know there car" have a good day be smart go to the track

first off slooowww her down smoky, but back to your question at hand machv.com has a nice wide body kit and many other kits so good luck

ps. if your ever in my neighborhood give me a call so i dont get ran off the road by someone "getting to know there car" take it to the track next time

"Its not recommended" is what your little page says, and it wasn't fun to install on my AMERICAN chassis, I had alot of fun with the mounts. Wonder why I said I didn't feel 100% comfortable installing the tranny/drive? Just for a little example on how easy it is to get your hands onto EVERYTHING. This ain't the setup I bought I also got the axel with it and all.

Go ahead and keep running your mouth Tomeek.

So my question to you is... why the hell don't you fix the sentra???? If it is AWD:confused: why would you go to a FWD... Don't tell me that you wanna keep with an FWD!!! hmmm...

BTW: Ebay is always right... but never mind lets stop this now, for real I'm really nice...:D Its just that a friend of mine almoast got killed, being hit by a car that was drifting... ilegal!!! well thats it from me...

PS: I really like the wide bodykit, It is cheap on EbAy
