VIS is grade A i believe...top knotch stuff for top knotch $$$. There's a place called C-Wings that makes grade A and B cf hoods that are sposed to be just as good...
joining post, Great post with pics of Diff CF hoods give me ideas for what to get, THANKS!!!! Pklease Mention Which are for Turbo and which are for NT,
I got my VIS OEM shipped from California for $467 to my door. It took two weeks to receive it. I found the company on ebay, but went through their website you save $3 that way.... http://www.jtrsport.com/ They have all the styles and a lot of other stuff.
not true, carbon wasnt made to look good, even though its gorgeous. its made to save weight.
and sloGSX, we all know that you bought GSXTSY's car, yes its a gorgeous car, but you didnt even perform the mods. believe me its not that big a deal to purchase a car thats already been modded. just gotta have $$$. next time you post try not to add that tidbit in.
My post has been edited. I was just being silly about it. I realize I have not put nearly the amount of $$ Nick has put into it, but at the same time I am trying and am picking up where he left off. Back to the hoods. Thank you for fixing my link. I did it in a hurry.
I put mine on with the help of a friend. I had him hold the hood stable while a bolted it to the hinges. I don't recommend trying it without help. Hood pins are also a good idea, I have already ordered mine. Just tryin to pick where to put them.
Mine is in my sig. Vis OEM style and the painting of it wasn't planned. I had it repaired after an accident and the paint hid the repairs. Actually turned out real nice.

Your not proving me wrong. what I said was carbon was made for it weight issues and durability. I didnt say anything about it being made to look good, carbon fiber was used for NASA long before it even touched a racecar...
