I went to pull off my exhaust manifold and downpipe today and everything was going fairly easily when I got to the LAST NUT.

Facing the car, the nut on the far left underside is out of reach of every tool that I have (and I have a lot of tools). Anyone have any idea's on how I can get this d@mn thing off? The only ratchet I can get in there only gets the nutt half way off, but then the ratchet is backed up into another piece of metal so I can't get the tool back out!

Next to taking off this nut with my fingers (which I can't make the thing budge) I'm positivly stummped. Any help would be appreciated.

That damn nut gave me problems too. I used a universal swivel on a rachet. Otherwise you have to remove the pice of metal that is in the way, I can't remember if it is the powersteering pump or an engine bracket for the PS pump.

Yeah I tried removing that little heat shield for that pump, but my smalles rachet (which is REAL small) can't quite fit in there. When I use my elbow extension for my rachet I can get the nut loosened half way, but the elbow becomes PINNED and the only way I can get the elbow out is to tighten the nut back up!

Well, I've got all day today before the new part comes, so I figure I'm going to try a few things.

Thanks for the help.

I sat down and had a lovely chat with my car, I told it that what I'm doing to it is good, and if it doesn't stop being a raging b][tch to me I'm going to TRASH IT AND BUY A NEW ONE!

Then I reached in and unsrewed that last nut with my thumb and pointer finger :D It's amazing what personality my car has!
