I have a 97 gs with a star stage 2 and the check engine light will not shut off I hooked the map sensor bypass up and had it dynoed and it was runnin really lean The dyno shop said the bypass was bad so i sent it back and got a new one and the light is still on.It flashes a code 12 which is the pcm has been disconnescted within 50 starts.Does anyone know what could be wrong?
 
I did unplug the pcm but my main concern is the car running lean. I was wondering if that is due to the map sensor bypass being bad.
 
im using the highflow pump and regulator that came with the stage 2 kit not sure what kind
 
Have you checked the fuel pressure? Is it rising when you hit boost, and if so how much? You should have a Walbro pump and a Vortech FMU that came with your kit. Best bet would be to hook up a fuel pressure gauge to see if it is rising or not. Might have a bad disc in the FMU.

If your car is running too rich or too lean the CEL is expected to be on, that's what it is supposed to detect and do. My CEL has been on ever since day one of going turbo (1 year ago) because I have always been in either too lean or too rich of a fuel mixture state... I would get your fuel system running more rich (larger injectors, SFMU adjustment, etc) as that would be safer to run more rich than too lean - especially on an internally stock 420a. Lord knows when my engine would have taken a dive if I had always been running lean. Resetting the ECU would remove the CEL for a small amount of time, and then it would come back on (after the ECU picked up on my rich/lean fuel mixture).

Are you using the stock injectors still?
