I plan to turbo my 420a, and would like to see some good shots of the end result.

There is a Green 97-99 w/ a lip on it, that has an awesome pic but I don't recall the member name? but that's exactly what I'd like to look like.

Posts pics of 420a w/ Turbos if ya got em PLEASE

Here is a good front shot of my Stage II star kit. Nothing special on the exterior, just a good idea of the engine's outcome. I have some different angles of the engine in my gallery if you want to see them.

The other green eclipse you were talking about is probably the user Siueclipse.

I'd have to say the nicest HRC engine bay :thumb: The chrome piping really sets it all off - makes the HRC kit look way better.

I still haven't figured out why the green 420a owners think red and green are complimentary colors, but I guess it works :)

Red and green are complimentary colors. While I don't have a 420a the 4G63 my wife has is red and green under the hood. Most folks don't like it because of the whole Xmas thing but if done right it looks nice. Yeah that engine bay looks very good.

Wear red pants and a green shirt and ask someone if it looks complimentary :)

If we were talking about clothes I would understand that remark. I have seen plenty of cars with red and green and it looks nice. I think if the red is done suttle then it can look good. Oviously your entitled to your opinion but it is nice to see a clean well laid out car bay that is not just kylon and stickers.

Turbo 420a, your car is obviously quick and it is quite impressive that you pulled the times you did with just having the stock bottom end, but ripping on the color scheme of someones car is not cool especially when they have put so much hard work into it. green95hrcgs has a really nice car that and his engine bay looks better than any of the 420a's that I have seen posted on here yet. It looks especially nice if you look at the before and after pics of the engine bay.

Woah, woah, woah. I wasn't insulting anybody's engine bay. I never said red and green looked bad - they just stand out when used together. I even said that was the nicest HRC engine bay I have seen, I like it a lot! Sorry to be misleading - I meant no disrespect. Hell, my car doesn't have a dollar invested in looks (save the wheels) so I can't talk ;)

I think the fact that your pullin 13.3s with stock internals gives you some DSM critsizm clout :D. Gotta tell you man that is badass. Sorry I misunderstood what you said. Your right though, if the red is guady it can look real bad. When we did my wifes car we had red stickers up the door panel, but decided to pull them that day because there was too much red. That and we don't really care for tons of stickers. :)

Amen on the stickers. I used to have one big white overboost.com sticker to the bottom right of my door. Then I woke up one day and noticed how butch cassidy it looked on a stock body RS. And that was when I had the stock 14 inch alloys! *shudder* :barf:

I am very happy with the 13.335 pass for the most part because of the launch. That run could have been better after the great launch; a damn boost leak that popped at the top of 3rd put me out for the rest of the day and cut the mph of the run off a few. After watching John Shepherd's new [email protected] in his TSi I am starting to feel the need for AWD now :D

And that is a street *driven* DSM using *drag radials* (9.89 on street tires), how frightening is that. I must have watched that video 50+ times now, good entertainment for all.

I thought shep used drag radials.... He competes in the street class.

Quote directly from a magazine feature on his car.

"His car, the 1991 Eagle Talon pictured, is used as a sometime daily driver but remains capable of turning high 9s down the quarter mile, without any track-day modifications and on the same street radials that get Shepherd to and from work."

When I said street above I wasn't talking about John's competing class - but that the car was a street driven car. Anyhow, the Talon is damn impressive.
