i am starting to think again about getting a turbo kit for my eclipse rs and i was just wondering if, with a setup similar to this, i would be able to get about 350hp out of the car and maybe a low 14, high 13sec 1/4 mile time.......

hrc stage 2 turbo kit
greddy evo exhaust
hrc fmic
apex-i safc
apex-i avcr
greddy turbo timer
intercooler techniques spray kit

are my power goals realistic with this setup or one similar to it?:dsm:

youll be able to run higher boost, but i would port and polish the head, get some larger injectors, maybe some cam gears, under drive crank pulley.. etc..

im thinking that im sitting around 350whp right now, going to the dyno to find out on thursday.

The first Stage to require internal engine modifications, Stage III will run up to fifteen PSI boost on 93 octane fuel. In dyno testing, we have achieved over 300 HP on 93 octane with Stage III through a STOCK Neon catalytic converter and exhaust piping (aftermarket muffler used)!

Stage III systems use the stock engine computer in tandem with our innovative new PowerFuel module. The PowerFuel module enables the stock computer to correctly control the larger 500cc injectors. An ignition amplifier upgrade also performs spark retard functions while providing the more powerful spark required.

The engine, once disassembled, can be prepared for the forged pistons by any capable engine machinist: simple boring and honing (.020" over) are all that's required.

Stage III includes all of the components listed in Stage II (see individual car page for detailed Stage II list), plus the following:

JE Forged Pistons, piston rings, and wrist pins

Crower billet connecting rods

Hahn 500 CC Fuel Injectors

Hahn PowerFuel module

Hahn Ignition Amplifier

Stage III systems are for those who intend to only use readily available pump gasoline of 92 or 93 octane. The injectors are sized ideally to support up to 325 HP, yet retain good daily manners on pump gas.

Do you wish to have the option of more than 15 PSI boost and race gas for even higher HP? Are you willing to forgo some streetable smoothness for the higher HP attainable with even larger injectors? If your answer is "yes!", skip Stage III. Click below for Stage IV and V!

(and they say that does them 325 to crank.)

rstsoon, i saw that you just put on pistons and rods. are those the only internals i would really need to be sure that my car could handle the power of a stage 2 turbo kit? also, what kind of ignition and fuel accessories would i need to power this setup?:dsm:

I did what? My bottom end is stock. Anyways I think you can handle about 8-9 psi with an intercooler on a unbuilt bottom end.And If you get the stage2 kit I believe it comes with the fuel accessories.

Any kit 1 or two or 5 comes with fuel accesories. I run 10 lbs daily on my car, low Egt's, drives like a dream. Just remember, buy a big turbo back exhaust, car will be happier and boost comes in stronger and cooler.

rstsoon, i thought i saw on another post that you had some internals. guess i was thinking of someone else. anyway, are rods and pistons the only internals that are really needed to run higher than 10psi if i decided to? lastly, where can i get a greddy evo turbo back? ive only seen it as a catback. would a greddy evo catback made for a gst fit on my car?:dsm:

appx how much whp and 1/4 mile will a star stage 2 put out with udp and cg's? 13.8-14.5? 250 whp?
