I don't know which to do. I know you would get more power out of the 2.0 but which is cheaper and easier to do. Any help would much appreciated, any companies to get parts, or an engine from.
Thanks, Mitch

Ok, that established I need to find the best place to buy the engine and parts I need to put it in. Also, if anyone can gimme a guess on how much it mioght be to get put in that would be cool.

ok let me get this straight. your letting one person tell you what to do with your car? Im turboing my 1.8 this summer and im planning on paying $1500 at most. cheaper than any good turbo 2.0

Are you high right now? That's rediculous. let me get this straight. 1.8 litre, single over head cam, eight valves (two per cylender), 1.8's do not come turboed and 2.0manifolds don't fit, They're stock internals are VERY weak. I have a 90 1.8 and I now have a 90 2.0 and am very experienced in both. A 2.0 is DEFANITALLY the way to go.

Buy a set of JE PIstons like me, arp head studs, and kick some 2.0 A$$.]

By the way, we are building 1.8L Turbo blocks now for anyone who wants one. We will give out prices, just PM me. :)

hey 4g63 luvr. you are an idiot. people have there own opinions. I like the way that you have no respect for the 1.8. In someways its better than your engine.
1. Easier to work on
2.What happens when you throw a timing belt, and when I throw a timing belt?
3.I have better gas mileage than you
They both have their pluses. I like to be different so I am opting to turbo my 1.8

let people have their own god damned opinions

Aight, guys quite your whining. I'll figure out what I'm going to do, so thanks for all the help and stuff.

Oh by the way, who is to say the 1.8L internals are weak? DOes anyone remember the MItsubishi Mirage, or Dodge colt 1.6L Turbo? Well people, that engine is the same exact engine as the 4G37. The engine number is G32B. The motor shares the same stroke, Same crank, and same rods. Differences are, the heads are manually adjusted valves, cylinder head chamber design is poor, and it has a smaller bore, and the pistons are lower compression made for turbochargers.

Nice dude, you got those JE pistons just like Kalani... out of curiousity what 2.0 did you kick their A$$, I didn't know you had the car running yet?

4. Cheaper car insurance.
5. Last forever

Great economy car for a backup.

No way yo! I got this twin turbo escort man, it will beat anything. No 2.0 can take me. It doesn't matter how poorly your head is designed, and how de-tuned your car is. You can make a monster out of anything, and I say do it! I'd pay fast1.8 to do the work to, since he knows a lot of stuff, like how to build a turbo kit just by reading an FAQ and asking questions all night long. If you do decide to get pistons, be sure to get the high quality ABS plastic like Kalani did, because Kalani is the god of everything and you should always follow what he does, and then make fun of him behind his back.

That sucks. I got a 1.5L paseo here that does all 5 things you guys say, and does it better! That's where performance is, gas mileage and insurance costs yo!

That's funny, anyone remember how much power a dodge colt turbo made? Comparable to a 2.0 NT!

Way to go, you've done it again! Get ready to whoop up on some 2.0 NT ass with your 1.8 turbos!!!
