Never heard of that, remove what you dont need make lines short, spool up work on the manifold, porting helps. not sure about lines, and turbo spool. Is your turbo not spooling, is it slow, what kind is it, any mods?

If your external wastegate have 2 ports, and you have an electronic boost controller than supports it, you can use boost pressure to help keep the wastegate closed until it reaches the desired psi. That'll help you spool a little sooner.

Actually, aside from keeping your turbine vacuum lines as short as possible, there is something you can do. On the stock intake pipe there is a tube that points at the compressor wheel that will blow the vented sur from the BOV to help keep spool up in between shifts.
